YG Entertainment announced late Sunday that K-pop group 2NE1 will reunite for a global tour to celebrate their 15th anniversary.
The company shared the news on social media, featuring a photo of the group members – CL, Sandara Park, Park Bom, and Minzy – with the caption ‘Welcome back’.
In a video posted on YG’s YouTube channel, founder and executive producer Yang Hyun-suk confirmed the reunion plans.
“The members of 2NE1 expressed their desire to celebrate their 15th anniversary with a concert,” Yang said.
“We discussed and planned it all enthusiastically, ensuring it will happen within this year.”
The tour will start in Seoul in October, with additional stops in Osaka and Tokyo in late November and December. The tour will continue into 2025.
2NE1 disbanded in 2016 but have reunited for special events, including a surprise performance at the 2022 Coachella Music Festival during CL’s solo set.
Known for hits like ‘I Am The Best,’ ‘I Don’t Care,’ and ‘FIRE,’ 2NE1 remains influential in the K-pop industry.
