Social media personality and vlogger Norman Mangusin, also known as Francis Leo Marcos, was transferred from Camp Crame to Parañaque City Jail Friday morning, February 27.

According to a report from RH Edniel Parrosa, the transfer follows a commitment order issued by Parañaque City Regional Trial Court, Branch 294, two days after Mangusin was arrested at a hotel in Pasay City.

“Noong hinuli natin siya automatic ‘yun kapag after na maireturn natin ‘yung warrant maglalabas ng commitment order ‘yung Korte na ilipat namin doon kung saan siya nakasuhan which is sa Parañaque City Jail,” said Chief of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group – National Capital Region (CIDG-NCR) PCOL John Guiagui.

During his exit from the PNP Headquarters, Mangusin was noticeably almost bald, a result of an inmate-imposed haircut while in custody at CIDG.

According to Guiagui, this is a common practice among detainees inside the facility.

Guiagui also confirmed that the police filed a legal opposition to prevent Mangusin from posting bail, as his case involves multiple complaints, including alleged use of fake documents such as birth certificates and passports, and wearing a police uniform in violation of the law.

“It’s either may problema sa documentation niya or wala siyang pangpyansa pa na enough for P120,000. That’s why hindi pa siya nakapag-bail until this day,” Guiagui explained.

Mangusin was initially arrested for unjust vexation with bail set at ₱120,000. His arraignment is scheduled for March 2.
