An old woman in the province of Ilocos Sur is now viral on social media for throwing a stick at all those motorcycles who pass by her yard.
In the video captured by the CCTV she placed to monitor the motorcycles, Remy Layno, 74, was seen directly throwing a stick at all the motorcycles passing in front of her house, a few centimeters from the road.
Several motorcycle drivers expressed embarrassment to Layno, questioning why the old woman was stoning them. Some of them retaliated and hit her back.
Interviewed in Ilocos News Online, Layno said that she has been complaining to their barangay for a long time concerning fast motorcycles passing by their house as it causes too much stress to her.
Meanwhile, Layno said she had already stopped stoning since her now-deleted video went viral.
It was known that Layno was a former professional teacher in the province of Ilocos Sur who went to Italy in 1975 to work as a babysitter.
In 2015, Layno came back to the Philippines and decided to stay.
