The Police Regional Office 1 (PRO1) has confirmed that the recently concluded 2025 national and local elections in the Ilocos Region were peaceful and orderly, with no recorded incidents of violence or disturbances that could have affected the integrity of the polls.
“Kami sa Police Regional Office 1 ay nagagalak [sa] naging resulta ng ating maigting na pagpapatupad ng seguridad sa rehiyon," the agency said.
"Ang tagumpay na ito ay bunga ng pagkakaisa at pagsisikap ng PNP, Commission on Elections (COMELEC), Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), at iba pang ahensya ng gobyerno, pati na rin ang kooperasyon ng ating mga mamamayan,” said PBGen. Lou F. Evangelista, Regional Director.
Evangelista also expressed his gratitude to the police personnel for their dedication and professionalism in carrying out their duties.
He further acknowledged the support of all partner agencies and the cooperation of the citizens, which he said contributed significantly to the peaceful conduct of the elections.
The PRO1 said they will remain on alert to ensure security and order in the coming days while awaiting the official results of the election.
