Veteran journalist Conrado de Quiros passed away on Monday, Nov. 6, his brother announced. He was 72.
“With profound sadness, we announce the passing of our brother, Conrado S. de Quiros. He will be greatly missed by our loving family and friends,” Paul de Quiros said in a Facebook post.
“Wake details to be finalized tomorrow. Conrad will remain in our hearts forever. Rock on in heaven, Choy,” he added.
According to Inquirer.net report, Conrado began his column “There’s the Rub” during 1987 in the now-defunct Philippine Daily Globe before bringing it over to the Philippine Daily Inquirer in July 1991.
The late veteran journalist also authored the following books: “Flowers from the Rubble: Essays on Life, Death and Remembering” (1990), “Dance of the Dunces” (1991), “Dead Aim: How Marcos Ambushed Philippine Democracy” (1997), and “Tongues on Fire” (2007).
