The low-pressure area (LPA), which had shown a moderate chance of intensifying earlier, is now less likely to strengthen.
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) announced that the LPA outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) has a low chance of developing into a tropical depression in the next 24 hours.
The LPA is located 360 km Northwest of Pag-asa Island, Kalayaan in Palawan and will reportedly affect the province.
The agency has advised the public to monitor news from DOST-PAGASA.
