Just a few days after the Miss Universe 2023 concluded, JKN Global Group, owned by chief executive officer Ann Chakkraphong Chakra Jutathip, will be facing a lawsuit for "damages" and "embezzlement" it has done to Total Communication Group's (TCG) company.
In a statement on Friday, Nov. 24, TCG invited the media for a press conference to discuss another legal suit it is planning to file against JKN Global Group, charging them 1,000 million Baht or $28.3 million in damages.
"In order to protect the reputation and compensate for some of the damages caused, informing additional charges, embezzlement of assets. After closing the company, they did not inform the partner. The employees were preparing to collect documents, evidence, report them. Call for justice," the Thai company said.
"With this, I would like to invite all the media to participate in the press conference, open all documents, evidences and truths with Mr. Chakraphan Punyappha, the manager of TCG Social Media Group Co., Ltd. along with Mr. Kachrayot Chariyama and Mr. Mongkhol Srivirat, the lawyers in charge of the company's representatives, confirm that they will implement this to the fullest. Let's listen to the truth together," it added.
The said press conference will happen today, Nov. 24, at 11:00 a.m. at the Emerald Ratchada Hotel.
TCG Social Media Group Company Limited is currently preparing to collect documents and evidence to file a complaint.
On Sept. 25, 2023, TCG also filed a $3 million or an estimated 100 million Baht suit against JKN Global Media Public Company Limited and Jutathip due to "false information."
JKN Global Media Public Company claimed that the Miss Universe Organization and JKN Global Group are not associated with or involved in the Miss Universe cryptocurrency named "Miss Universe Coin" that was introduced on the Philippine Blockchain.
TCG said that the trial is set for Dec. 18, 2023.
