Two persons were dead on the spot after falling on MRT tracks on Sunday evening, causing the temporary suspension of the railway.
According to a police report, the two men were on board a motorcycle traversing along the Aurora Boulevard flyover in Pasay City when the rider lost control due to the slippery road surface at around 6:35 p.m.
The report, citing a witness, said the two victims fell from the flyover down to the northbound rail tracks of MRT-3 near EDSA Taft station.
Due to the incident, train operations of the MRT-3 were halted around 6:37 p.m. as security personnel and medical professionals responded in the area.
"No breakdowns on MRT-3 system have been reported," said the MRT-3 management, adding that PNP-SOCO also arrived at the scene to probe the incident.
Train movement resumed for the southbound lane at around 7:26 p.m.
