A teenage boy went missing after having been swept away by flood waters near a creek in Barangay Sto. Domingo in Cainta, Rizal.

DZRH news confirmed with the Cainta Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (DRRMO) that Roldan Abong, 14, resident of the said barangay, went missing.

The Cainta Rescue learned from the victim's father, Rolando Abong, that the incident had unfolded the afternoon of the day before, Tuesday, July 23, but had only been reported to authorities later that evening, at 8 PM. As of the time Edniel Parrosa reported on the case, Roldan has yet to be found.

"... Nalaglag daw, nalaglag," one Cainta DRRMO personnel said of the victim in an interview with Parrosa. "Sa ibang kuwento naman, parang naliligo. Sa sobrang lakas ng [water flow], natangay."
