

The suspect in the brutal killing of three people in Taguig City last August 21 has surrendered to authorities on Thursday afternoon.
This was confirmed by the Southern Police District (SPD) in a statement, where they also identified the suspect as 28-year-old Julian Paningbatan Jr., a former member of the Philippine Navy.
Paningbatan turned himself in at a studio in Mandaluyong City where Senator Raffy Tulfo’s television program was being filmed.
The Taguig City police later served the suspect warrants of arrest issued by separate regional trial court branches for three counts of car theft and robbery with violence.
Paningbatan is currently detained at the Taguig Custodial Facility pending issuing a commitment order from the courts of origin.
On August 21, three individuals were shot dead around 3:20 AM outside the transient house located in Zone 1, Barangay Fort Bonifacio, Taguig.
The fatalities were identified as Marie Angelica Belina, 25, an overseas Filipino worker from Barangay Pachoca, Calapan City, Mindoro; Mark Ian Desquitado, 35, a food delivery rider and a resident of Barangay Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City; and Tashane Joshua Branzuela, 22, resident of the same village in Taguig City.
