The Philippine National Police (PNP) underwent another reorganization.
In an order dated July 1, PNP chief PGen Rommel Francisco Marbil appointed PLtGen Jonnel Estomo as head of the Area Police Command (APC) -Southern Luzon.
PMGen. Bernard Banac, meanwhile, takes the helm of APC-Western Mindanao, formerly under the command of Estomo.
The reassignment of Banac, the former chief of the PNP-Directorate for Police Community Relations (PNP-DPCR), resulted to his promotion to Police Lieutenant General.
PBGen. Roderick Augustus Alba steps down as chief of the PNP-DHRDD, and succeeds Banac as head of the PNP-DPCR.
The reshuffling also resulted to the reassignment of PBGen Neri Vincent Ignacio from the PNP-Directorate for Logistics to the PNP- Directorate for Comptrollership.
PMGen Marcelino Bazar steps down as chief of APC-Northern Luzon, and now heads the PNP-Directorate for Information and Communications Technology Management.
Marbil also tasked PBGen. Erich Tan Royales to head the PNP-Directorate for Human Resource and Doctrine Development.
