Shiela Guo, the sister of dismissed Bamban, Tarlac Mayor Alice Guo, appeared before the Senate to address questions about their 'escape' from the Philippines. She then revealed that they had left the country by boat.
"Sumakay kami ng boat sa dagat. Hindi ko alam ang lugar [kung saang lugar kami sumakay]. Galing kami sa bahay tapos may sundo sa amin na isang sasakyan na van. Hindi ko alam saang lugar [kami dinala]. Siguro bumyahe kami ng ilang oras hindi ko masabi [kung ilang oras], ‘di ko matandaan matagal din," Guo revealed before the Senate sub-committee hearing on Tuesday.
Guo recounted that a van picked them up at their home in Tarlac along with her siblings, Alice and Wesley Guo, and they traveled for about five hours before boarding a small white boat.
Furthermore, after leaving the white boat, they transferred to a large fishing vessel and then switched to a smaller boat to enter Malaysia.
"Parang fishing ship kasi may net na panghuli ng fish. Pagkatapos, nagpalit pa kami ng isang barko. Maliit naman, parang blue o green," Guo said.
Shiela Guo reiterated that she does not know the current whereabouts of her sister Alice, as they parted ways on August 19.
"Sa Indonesia hiwalay na kami ng August 19. August 18 kami dumating Indonesia," Guo stated.
"Wala siyang sinabi kung saan siya pumunta. Sinabi niya 'hiwalay na muna ate' tapos sabi niya huwag alamin," she added.
