The Shearline and Northeast Monsoon (Amihan) are expected to bring rain and cloudy skies to several areas in Luzon, according to PAGASA's report on Friday morning.
According to the weather bureau's 24-hour forecast, the shearline is expected to bring cloudy skies, scattered rains, and isolated thunderstorms to Cagayan, Isabela, Apayao, Kalinga, Mountain Province, Ifugao, and Aurora.
Moderate to heavy rains could lead to an increased risk of flash floods or landslides in affected areas.
The shearline is also expected to affect the Ilocos Region, the rest of the Cordillera Administrative Region, and Cagayan Valley, bringing partly cloudy to cloudy conditions with occasional rain showers or thunderstorms.
Meanwhile, the Northeast Monsoon (Amihan) is expected to affect Batanes, bringing cloudy skies and rains. This increases the risk of flash floods or landslides due to occasional moderate to heavy rainfall.
On another note, Palawan is likely to experience cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the easterlies.
For Metro Manila and the rest of the country, partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms are forecasted, caused by localized thunderstorms.
