Crowds unaware of the Pride Night concert cancellation continued to flock at the Quezon Memorial Circle gate on the evening of June 22, Saturday.
A ruckus ensued after some people followed an ambulance through the gate when security allowed its entry.
According to Nicole Lopez's report on Sunday Updates, attendees were hoping for a continuation of the concert, which was initially only put on hold at 6 PM.
It was announced at around 8 PM that the concert would not resume, as equipment had been compromised due to heavy rains.
Many were dismayed at this development, and others were frustrated they had waited in vain, uninformed of the cancellation.
Among the anticipated line-up were BINI, Glock 9, Vice Ganda, Juan Carlos, and Marina Summers.
Up to 70,000 people were present at the LGBTQ+ march in Quezon City.
