The local government of Quezon City is looking into filing a case following an unfortunate accident wherein debris from a condominium had fallen on and injured young passers-by.

The local government unit (LGU) has already assigned various agencies to study the filing of a case and has launched an investigation into whomever may be held accountable for the “preventable” incident.

In a report by RH 5 Val Gonzales, the two victims, both aged 12, remain in critical condition.

At around 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, debris from a building fell on two students as they were walking by the corner of Roces and Tomas Morato Avenue in Barangay Laging Handa.

According to accounts from residents in the area, this is not the first instance debris had fallen from the old building, which had hit houses in the past.

The Quezon government will be assisting the students and their families through its Social Services and Development Department, it assured.
