"Wala, Pastor, looking at the political horizon... wala akong nakita na deserving," Duterte said in an interview with Pastor Apollo Quiboloy in Davao City aired on Tuesday evening.
Duterte also revealed he was resisting calls for him to run for vice president in the 2022 national elections because he is ready for retirement.
“Mahirap ‘yan pastor kasi mag-retire na ko tapos this time ako ang mamili ng president, tapos ‘pag manalo sabihin nila, ano lang yan, perpetuate yourself in power. So nagreresist ako,” he said.
The President continued saying he plans to spend his retirement in his hometown Davao City, where he served as mayor for almost a decade before becoming president.

Although he refused to reveal who he will endorse in the upcoming elections, Duterte admitted that there was someone he had in mind.
"Mayroon pero mag neutral na lang ako, pero mayroong diyang mga aspirants. I may publicly name them when the time comes," he continued.
It can be recalled that presidential spokesman Harry Roque revealed that the President had already named five individuals whom he might endorse for the next elections.
These were his daughter, Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio, Manila Mayor Isko Moreno, Sen. Manny Pacquiao, Sen. Christopher Go, and former Sen. Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.
In the same interview, Quiboloy raised the possibility of Duterte-Duterte tandem in which the Chief Executive claimed he had again discouraged his eldest daughter, Sara, from running for president.
"Si Inday, kinausap ko talaga kagabi. Do not run, do not ever, ever commit to make a mistake of running for president," the Chief Executive said.
Sara has been topping the possible presidential candidate's survey earlier this year.
