Pork places have yet to change the prices of their pork products despite the increasing price of the delivered pork meat in Pasig Mega Market, based on the price monitoring of the Department of Agriculture (DA).

The price of pork meat in the market ranges from P300 to P310, while the “liempo” price is P360 in most places.

A meat shop, which is also a pork dealer, may increase their charge by P5 in the next few weeks or months or before the holiday season.

It explained that the price of pork meat will probably increase as the Christmas season approaches due to high demand.

Earlier, the DA said that they may import pork because of an expected shortage of 10 days in the last quarter of the year.

But for the SINAG group, the supply of pork meat is still stable at the moment.
