Palace Press Officer Atty. Claire Castro is looking forward to Senator Bato Dela Rosa hearing President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr.'s State of the Nation Address (SONA) on Monday, June 28, despite the latter's absence from the said event.
At a press briefing held today, June 18, Atty. Castro said that it is the senator's right if he doesn’t want to come, but still wishes for him to hear what the administration has done and its future plans for the country.
“Okay lang naman po, karapatan po niya yan kung hindi siya pumunta, pero mas maganda po sana madinig niya po kung ano ang naging trabaho, at magiging program ng Pangulo sa SONA.” Castro said on Dela Rosa’s statement that he will not come in this year’s SONA.
Sen. Dela Rosa earlier shared that he no longer has any expectations of the administration, adding that instead of attending the SONA, he has decided not to, as he would be pretending and upset with his colleague.
As a staunch ally of the Dutertes, Dela Rosa stated that it is his personal decision not to attend Marcos’ 4th SONA.
Atty. Castro also expressed her message to Dela Rosa that it is better to watch out for the SONA than to believe in fake news peddlers.
