PITX returns to regular operation
by Alessandra C. Frianela25 July 2024

Operations at the Parañaque Integrated Terminal Exchange (PITX) have returned to normal today following the suspension of trips due to Typhoon Carina and the southwest monsoon yesterday.

In an interview with DZRH, PITX Senior Corporate Affairs Officer Kolyn Calbasa reported that over 14,000 passengers had arrived by 8 AM at the terminal on Thursday.

Operations were particularly resumed on city routes and even bus companies such as Victory Liner, Baliwag Transit, and Saulog Transit have also resumed their trips.

Over 80 scheduled trips at the terminal were suspended due to heavy rain and flooding in Metro Manila on Wednesday.

171 passengers were reportedly stranded at the terminal, with 78 of them staying overnight, while the others were accommodated through rerouting.

Passengers were affected by the suspension, holding, and cancellation of trips due to widespread flooding in the National Capital Region and other nearby provinces yesterday.
