The Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) will increase its benefit package for breast cancer patients to P1.4 million starting March 30 from the meager P100,000.
The state health insurer also released contracted health facilities around the country that offer the Z-benefit package.

The package, PhilHealth said, is available for members to aid in their respective health conditions that spur prolonged hospitalization.
The state health insurer earlier announced its free breast cancer screening target by June this year as the state health insurer flagged breast and cervical cancers as top health issues faced by women.
The Philippine Cancer Society also revealed that breast cancer remains the top cancer site for both sexes, with the health department stating that 65 percent of these cases get a late diagnosis that results in a more advanced stage.
