The Philippines reported an additional 1,214 new cases of COVID-19 from May 16 to 22, according to the Department of Health (DOH) on Monday.
In its latest COVID-19 weekly bulletin, the number of daily average cases last week was 173, 9.9% higher than the average from May 9 to 15.
Six deaths were also confirmed during the past week, according to DOH, including three casualties that occurred from May 9 to 22.
The DOH also reported 14 new severe and critical cases from last week, with the total severe and critical admissions hitting 718 as of May 22.
Meanwhile, 4,125 non-ICU beds and 432 ICU beds are being utilized for COVID-19 patients as of May 22, said the department.
Vaccinations
In terms of vaccinations, a total of 69,042,538 people are now fully immunized against COVID-19 as of May 22, said the Health Department, including the 377,468 individuals who completed their shots last week.
According to DOH, 76.71% of the target population are now vaccinated, while 77.22% of the targeted senior citizens have been given the jabs.
For booster shots, a total of 13,860,791 individuals received their booster shots as of May 22, including the 240,592 individuals who got theirs last week.
