President Ferdinand 'Bongbong' Marcos Jr. and First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos are experiencing flu-like symptoms and have been advised to rest, according to the Presidential Communications Office (PCO) on March 20.
In a statement, PCO said the President and the First Lady developed the symptoms following their "full schedule" in the past few days.
"They have been taking fluids and medications to alleviate their symptoms. Currently their vitals remain stable," PCO said.
The attending physician has advised Marcos Jr. and his wife to rest "to ensure their speed recovery."

Last week, the President conducted his working visit to Germany wherein he sealed at least USD 4 billion or ₱220 billion worth of investment deals and a state visit to the Czech Republic. Marcos Jr. was accompanied by the First Lady and some cabinet members in his two trips.
Upon his arrival in the country, the Chief Executive led the 4th Legislative-Executive Development Advisory Council, witnessed the signing of the concession agreement for Ninoy Aquino International Airport's rehabilitation, held a meeting with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, and other activities.
