President Ferdinand 'Bongbong' Marcos Jr. on Monday extended prayers and well-wishes to Princess Kate of United Kingdom following her cancer diagnosis.

"The Filipino people have Catherine, the Princess of Wales, in our thoughts and prayers throughout this challenging time. We pray for her good health and continued healing and for the strength of her family during this difficult period," the President said in a statement.

After disappearing from the public eye since her abdominal surgery in January, the Princess of Wales recently revealed that she was battling cancer.

“My medical team therefore advised that I should undergo a course of preventative chemotherapy and I am now in the early stages of that treatment,” the Princess stated.

The Princess of Wales concluded her personal message by saying that she is “getting stronger every day” by focusing on what would help her heal.

Middleton was earlier involved in a series of controversies regarding her whereabouts after she was last seen in December last year.

Major news agencies also pulled out the Princess of Wales’ “Mother’s Day” photo following “manipulated” concerns which she claimed was an honest mistake on her part as an “amateur photographer” who occasionally experiments with editing.
