It's official! Park Seo-Joon is joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe!
On Friday, the actor's agency, Awesome ENT, confirmed the news in a statement as translated by Korean media outlet Soompi.
"Park has confirmed his appearance in a Marvel Studios film and left the country this afternoon," the statement read.
“We thank the many people who have shown interest and support for Park Seo Joon as he takes on this new challenge,” stated the agency.
His agency also refused to disclose more details about the upcoming film, saying it will be revealed at a later date.
However, months ago it was first reported that Park would be joining the star-studded cast of "The Marvels," the upcoming sequel to "Captain Marvel."
Directed by Nia DaCosta, The Marvels is a continuation of the Disney+ series Ms. Marvel.
It stars Brie Larson reprising her role as the titular superhero Carol Danvers, Iman Vellani as Kamala Khan, and Teyonah Parris and Monica Rambeau.
Seo Joon is now the third Korean actor to star in a Marvel movie following Claudia Kim (who appeared in “Avengers: Age of Ultron”) and Ma Dong Seok (“Eternals”).
The Marvels is slated for a 2022 release.
