PAGASA issued the local names for all tropical cyclones that develop within or enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR).
The weather bureau uses four sets of local names on a rotating basis. Each set contains 25 names, arranged alphabetically.
In the event that the number of tropical cyclones in a year exceeds 25, an auxiliary set with 10 names is assigned to extend the regular list.
