More than 11.2 million mobile users have registered their SIM cards as of Jan. 2, Monday, according to the latest data from the National Telecommunication Commission (NTC).

In its SIM registration update, NTC said about 1,017,012 DITO SIM users have already registered as of 11:59 am.

Meanwhile, 5,030,649 subscribers have registered their Globe SIM cards as of 9:00 am, and over 5,172,061 registered in SMART as of 10:00 am.

According to NTC, the Philippines has around 160 million active SIM cards.
