A former Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) chairman has been arrested after molesting an SK kagawad in San Juan City.
Based on Edniel Parrosa's report in MBC Network News, the former chairman, who was identified as Jovher Sagara, has been charged with acts of lasciviousness after attempting to rape the victim in a resort in Talisay City, Batangas.
The 20-year-old newly elected woman, alias "Joyce," sought tighter protection at San Juan Police Station after receiving threats from Johver's camp.
According to Joyce, some people are pressuring her to withdraw the charges she has filed against the suspect, a reason for her to seek help from San Juan City Mayor Francis Zamora.
The case reached Interior Secretary Benhur Abalos, who is now hands-on with the investigation.
