

As of 11 p.m. Monday, Super Typhoon Nando slightly weakened while moving away from the Babuyan Islands, PAGASA reported.
The center of the typhoon’s eye was last located 145 kilometers west-northwest of Calayan, Cagayan. It is packing maximum sustained winds of 205 km/h near the center, gustiness of up to 285 km/h, and central pressure of 915 hPa.
The state weather bureau added that the super typhoon is moving westward at 20 km/h.
Despite its weakening, several areas remain under Tropical Cyclone Wind Signals (TCWS) ranging from Signal No. 4 to Signal No. 1.

Authorities continue to warn residents in affected areas to take necessary precautions against strong winds, heavy rains, and possible flash floods and landslides.
"The Southwest Monsoon and the trough of NANDO will bring strong to gale-force gusts over the following areas (especially in coastal and upland areas exposed to winds," said PAGASA.
PAGASA said Nando will continue moving away from the Babuyan Islands tonight. On the track forecast, it will exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility tomorrow morning, September 23.
