A P0.1076 per kilowatt-hour reduction in electricity rates will take effect in the June billing cycle, Meralco announced on Wednesday, June 11.

The electricity rate dropped by nearly P0.11 this month, bringing the total charge down to P12.16 per kilowatt-hour from P12.26/kWh last month.

This translates to a P22 reduction in the electricity bill for households consuming 200 kWh. Those consuming 300 kWh will see a decrease of P32, while households using 400 kWh will save P43.

Meanwhile, a P54 reduction can be expected for those consuming 500 kWh this month.
