President Ferdinand 'Bongbong' Marcos' Jr.'s second State of the Nation Address (SONA) later today will last for one hour and 25 minutes, according to his son, Senior Deputy Majority Leader Rep. Sandro Marcos.
Speaking to reporters, the presidential son said Marcos personally wrote his SONA speech, which he is expected to deliver at 4 PM at the Batasang Pambansa in Quezon City today.
"It was so different in the first year. He wrote the speech, and asked us to look it over. It’s always nice to have a fresh [pair] of eyes after writing it and writing it again. So, I think, to begin with, medyo mahaba but he was able to shave it down a little bit," Sandro said.
“If I am not mistaken, the one this year will be 1 hour 25 (minutes)," he continued.

House Speaker Martin Romualdez earlier said Marcos' SONA "may be among the shortest since the custom began."
Last week, Marcos said that his SONA will be "really very simple" and serve as a "performance report" for the Filipino people, showing them which of his promises have been carried out.
The Batasang Pambansa Complex in Quezon City had already been placed under lockdown since Thursday, July 20, prior to the President's SONA.
