Citing the Philippine National Police's (PNP) report, Presidential Communications Office (PCO) said the confiscated illegal drugs and cleared narcotics were from more than 27,968 barangays, including 23 provinces, 447 municipalities, and 43 cities.
As of December 27, 2023, 56,495 suspects have been arrested after conducting more than 44,000 anti-illegal drug operations.
The report was made through the consolidated efforts of the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), the Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB), the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), and the PNP.
Moreover, 50 provinces, 1,160 municipalities, and 30 cities have functional Anti-Drug Abuse Councils (ADACs) implementing anti-drug priorities at the local level.
Seventy-four established in-patient treatment and rehabilitation facilities were also put up.
By June 2028, the Marcos administration is optimistic about reducing the target-listed drug personalities by 10 percent of the annual target list and establishing CBDRPs and ADACs in all provinces, cities, municipalities, and barangays.
Also in 2028, it hopes to have one established treatment and rehabilitation facility for every province.
