Four senior police officials are affected by a new round of reshuffling in the Philippine National Police (PNP), effective September 6.
Among them is former PNP spokesperson Police Brigadier General Jean Fajardo, who was relieved from her post at the Directorate for Comptrollership.
Based on an order signed by acting PNP Chief Police Lieutenant General Jose Melencio Nartatez, Police Major General Westrimundo Obinque was designated as Fajardo’s replacement. Obinque belongs to the Philippine Military Academy Class of 1992, the same batch as Nartatez.
Fajardo, meanwhile, was assigned to the Area Police Command–Eastern Mindanao as deputy commander under Police Brigadier General Leon Victor Rosete.
Obinque’s vacated post at the National Police Training Institute will now be filled by Police Brigadier General Christopher Birung.
