Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief Dionardo Carlos assigned the chief officer of the regional office of the Bangsamoro Region to work together on the manhunt operation for the suspect of the Maguindanao bus bombing.
Carlos assigned Police Brigadier General Arthur Cabalona, the regional director of the Police Regional Office – Bangsamoro Autonomous Region (PRO-BAR) to investigate the case and use all available resources to find the culprit for the bombing.
The authorities reviewed the CCTV footage where they saw a person of interest that possibly left the improvised explosive device (IED) on the rear side of the Rural Transit bus.
Four were injured in the 32 passengers of the bus in the explosion.
The bus is from General Santos City going to Dipolog and it is making its way through the national highway in Barangay Making, Parang, Maguindanao.
The PNP Chief calls for the help of the public to report any information to identify the person behind the bombing.
