At around 7pm, Abalos posted a picture on Facebook with a caption, “nahuli na si Pastor Quiboloy!”
Quiboloy is facing charges of qualified human trafficking and multiple counts of sexual abuse. Above all, he is also included in the United States Federal Bureau of Investigation's most wanted list.
PNP Region 11 Director Brig. Gen. Nicolas Torre III remained silent on the details of the arrest.
"Si SILG na lang tanungin niyo kasi siya talaga nag break ng news," Torre said during an interview with the media.
"This is a concerted effort of everyone involved," he added.
The PNP Director then extended his gratitude to the police officers who worked hand in hand in the search operation for Quiboloy in their religious compound.

On August 24, The Philippine National Police (PNP) Region 11 officers conducted a manhunt operation at the Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC) compound in Davao City to serve an arrest warrant.
Meanwhile, the legal counsel for Quiboloy, Atty. Ferdinand Topacio denied claims that the pastor was arrested by the PNP under the DILG, stating instead that he voluntarily surrendered to the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP).
"The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) has been in full support of the Philippine National Police (PNP) from the onset of the operation related to the case of Mr. Apollo Quiboloy," AFP said in an official statement.
"As this is primarily a police operation, we defer to the PNP to provide the details and updates on the situation," they added.
