A man died after jumping from the bell tower of a church in San Andres, Catanduanes, on Monday, October 2.

According to Rey Boton Jr.'s report on MBC Network News, the incident happened at 4:05 PM, when the 40-year-old committed suicide by jumping on the bell tower.

San Andres' Philippine National Police (PNP), Municipal Risk Reduction Management Office, and Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) immediately responded to the incident.

The unidentified man was rushed to 1M Alberto Memorial Hospital but declared dead on arrival.

Authorities are still determining the identity of the said man.
