Senator Rodante Marcoleta will also be calling for the investigation of lawmakers allegedly linked to anomalous flood control projects, stressing that accountability should not be limited to government agencies and contractors.
In an exclusive interview on DZRH’s Dos Por Dos, Marcoleta said that aside from the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) and contractors, congress members identified in project documents must also be scrutinized.

“’Yung proponent, diretsuhin na natin, ’yung congressman, congress member. Hindi puwedeng ’yung dalawa lang eh, kasi makikita sa mga dokumento kung sino ’yung mga nagpilit na magka-ganun ’yung mga project,” Marcoleta said.
He revealed that a contractor has already reached out, expressing willingness to testify despite concerns for their family’s safety.
The Senate Blue Ribbon Committee will hold a hearing on September 1 to probe the alleged irregularities, with the DBM, COA, PCAB, Insurance Commission, and the country’s top 15 flood control contractors expected to attend.
