A magnitude 4.7 earthquake struck the waters off Dolores, Eastern Samar at 6:10 a.m., according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS).

The quake had a depth of focus of 12 kilometers.

Reported intensities are as follows:

• Intensity II – Tacloban City, Leyte
• Instrumental Intensity III – Can-Avid, Eastern Samar
• Intensity II – Catbalogan, Samar
• Intensity I – Kawayan, Biliran
• Intensity I – Borongan, Eastern Samar
• Intensity I – Gandara, Samar

PHIVOLCS reported no damage from the earthquake and said aftershocks are not expected.
