The National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) has announced that it will raise again red and yellow alerts in the Luzon grid on Friday, April 19.
In its latest advisory, the NGCP said red alert status will take effect from 3:00 PM-4:00 PM and 6:00 PM-10:00 PM.
Yellow alert status, meanwhile, will take effect from 12:00NN-3:00 PM, 4:00 PM-6:00 PM, and 10:00 PM-11:00 PM.
The available capacity is at 13,594MW, with a peak demand of 13,127MW.
According to NGCP, 19 power plants are on forced outage, while three are running on derated capacities, for a total of 2,284.3MW unavailable to the grid.
Yesterday, 19 power plants were on forced outage, while one ran on derated capacity, for a total of 1,891.3 MW unavailable to the grid.
