Luzon Grid will once again subjected to red and yellow alert status on Thursday, April 18, according to the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP).
In its latest advisory, the NGCP said the red alert will take effect from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 8:00 PM to 10:00 PM.
The Luzon grid will be placed on yellow alert from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM, 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, and 10:00 PM to 11:00 PM.
The available capacity is 13,397 MW, with a peak demand of 12,892 MW.
"Nineteen (19) power plants are on forced outage, while one (1) is running on derated capacity, for a total of 1,891.3 MW unavailable to the grid," the advisory read.
On Wednesday, Luzon together with Visayas grid was placed under yellow alert wherein 18 power plants are on forced outage, while 3 others are running on derated capacities.
