

The low-pressure area (LPA) located east of Aurora has intensified into Tropical Depression “Isang,” the DOST-PAGASA said.
It was located along the coastal waters of Casiguran, Aurora, and continued to move westward at 15km/h. It has a wind speed of 55 km/h and a gustiness of 75 km/h.
Aside from the tropical depression, the state weather bureau announced as of 8:00 AM on Friday, August 22, that another LPA is being monitored outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) and has a low potential of developing into a tropical depression within the next 24 hours.
As of 10 AM, tropical depression “Isang’s” center was estimated to be in Casiguran, Aurora (16.3°N, 122.1°E).
It has a maximum sustained wind of 55km/h near the center, a gustiness of up to 90km/h, and a central pressure of 1002 hPa.
Meanwhile, "Yellow Warning Level" was raised in the following areas due to the tropical depression:
- Bataan
- Metro Manila
- Cavite
- Nueva Ecija
- Zambales
- Batangas
