Several local government units have passed ordinance implementing the adjusted working hours starting May 2 in compliance to a memorandum order released by the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA).
In a video statement on Tuesday, April 30, Muntinlupa Mayor Ruffy Biazon announced that he signed Executive Order No. 12, s. 2024 to enforce the adjusted 7 AM to 4 PM work hours in Muntinlupa City Hall.
But he noted that some frontline government offices shall continue to serve until 5 PM.
These include the Business Permits and Licensing Office; City Treasurer's Office; City Assessor's Office Muntinlupa; Office of the Building Official; and Management Information Systems Office.
Meanwhile, working hours in Muntinlupa City government will also be adjusted starting May 2 in adherance to Executive Order No. 24-04-24-011.
"Samantala, ipatutupad naman ang alternative skeleton workforce na 7:00 AM-4:00 PM at 8:00 AM-5:00 PM na pasok sa mga opisinang direktang naglilingkod sa publiko. Ito ay upang masiguro ang patuloy na pagbibigay ng serbisyo ng lokal na pamahalaan mula Lunes hanggang Biyernes, 7:00 AM-5:00 PM," the Muntinlupa City government noted.
In San Juan, Mayor Francis Zamora issued Executive Order No. FMZ-168 adjusting the working hours in all offices of the San Juan City Government.
The adjusted work hours exempt the Traffic And Parking Management Office; City Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office; City Environmental and Natural Resources Office; Market Superintendent; San Juan Medical Center; maintenance of schools; support services to national government agencies; and other offices determined by the city human resource management officer.
All offices of the San Juan City Government are expected to adhere to the order starting May 2.
