The House of Representatives made sure to recognize not just the medal winners but also all the athletes who took part in the recently concluded 2024 Paris Olympics.

A congressional reception for Filipino Olympian athletes was held early yesterday, August 14, right before their heroes' parade that traverse the streets of Manila.

Led by House Speaker Martin Romualdez, Carlos Yulo received the Congressional Medal in acknowledgment of the honor he has brought to the country, for his stellar performance in the gymnastics event where he brought home two Olympic gold medals.

According to Romualdez, Yulo's victory symbolizes the excellence and resilience of Filipinos, demonstrating their ability to compete with the best athletes from around the world.
