Filipino gymnast Carlos Yulo met with his fellow Paris Olympics gold medalists Shinnosuke Oka and Takaaki Sugino while visiting the Tokushikai Gymnastics Club in Japan where he previously trained.
"Thank you so much to the Tokushikai Gymnastics Club. Thank you very much for your kind support and encouragement," Yulo said on Tuesday, October 15, in Japanese in a Facebook post.
"Being able to train with great friends like you is a great motivator for me," he added.
Yulo won the gold medals for the floor and the vault exercises of the men's gymnastics tournament of the 2024 Olympics in Paris, France.
Meanwhile, Oka ruled the men's horizontal bars and all-around gymnastics events in the Paris Games.
The 20-year old Japanese gymnast together with Sugino also bagged the gold medal in the men's team all-around artistic gymnastics event.
Last October, Yulo received a certificate from Japan ambassador to the Philippines Endo Kazuya in recognition for his achivements in the field of sports.
