Filipino gymnast Carlos Yulo once again proved he is a force to be reckoned with after capturing his fourth consecutive gold medal in the floor exercise at the 2025 Asian Artistic Gymnastics Championships in Jecheon, South Korea on Saturday, June 7.
The 25-year-old Olympic champion wowed the judges and the crowd with a flawless, high-difficulty routine that earned him 14.600 points — 5.7 from difficulty and 8.8 from execution.
Kazakhstan's Milad Karimi, one of Yulo's longtime rivals, settled for silver for the second straight time with a score of 14.400.
South Korea's Moon Geoun-Young surprised the crowd by claiming the bronze medal with 14.033 points, despite a 0.300 penalty for stepping outside the mat.
Yulo's victory marks his dominance in the floor event at the continental level, now winning the title four times in a row.
Earlier in the tournament, Yulo also bagged a bronze medal in the individual all-around competition. He remains in contention for more medals as he competes in the rings final later today and is also set to appear in the finals of the vault, parallel bars, and horizontal bar events on Sunday, June 8.
Joining Yulo in the vault event is fellow Filipino gymnast John Ivan Cruz.
