International fashion celebrity Heart Evangelista has broken her silence regarding the alleged feud between herself and Miss Universe 2015, Pia Wurtzbach.
At a press conference on Tuesday morning for her upcoming reality show “Heart World,” Evangelista said she never had a problem with Wurtzbach.
“Woman to woman, I never had a problem with Pia,” she clarified. “In fact, I was one of those who cheered for her in the past. And I’d like to think that it was the same for her.”
She recounted feeling touched when the beauty queen once used the #HeartMadeMeDoIt hashtag on social media.
“But it’s the people that she chose to surround herself with for specific reasons that makes this whole thing problematic,” the style icon continued.
For her message to Wurtzbach, she said, “Congratulations. You have what you needed. I wish you nothing but the best, and good luck.”
“Sana hindi mangyari sa ‘yo ‘yung nangyari sa ‘kin (I hope what happened to me won’t happen to you),” she added.
“I just want everybody to be OK, that’s all honestly. It’s time for us to sincerely move forward. It is what it is. And everybody should just be happy,” Evangelista said.
Evangelista told the media she has already forgiven and put it all behind her, adding that all she wanted to do was “stay on (her) lane.”
The two women were pitted against each other when a Wurtzbach fan accused Evangelista of making up having been invited to a Victoria’s Secret show in New York.
