Pia Wurtzbach is one of The Outstanding Young Men (and Women) (TOYM) of the Philippines this year for her humanitarian service and social work.

Beyond pageantry and fashion, Pia proved that her reach extends to her advocacies and humanitarian efforts. For TOYM’s awarding ceremony on Sunday at Quezon City, the beauty queen was one of the nine people recognized for their exemplary leadership and dedication.

The Miss Universe 2015 queen has continued to be involved in various charity works, advocating for HIV/AIDS and mental health awareness. She also raised funds for LoveYourself Inc.’s new youth center in Taguig; auctioning pageant memorabilia, shoes, accessories, trophies, and other items for the Love Gala Event last December 3.

All proceeds from the auction were used to support the youth center, creating a safe space for young people to access education, prevention, and treatment related to HIV.
