The criminology student, who allegedly died from hazing, suffered 60 blows in his body, particularly around his bottom area, according to an initial investigation by the Quezon City Police District (QCPD).

In a report by RH Val Gonzales, QCPD director Gen. Redrico Maranan ordered the search of the paddle allegedly thrown in a river following the incident.

Gonzales also reported that about 20 alleged members of Tau Gamma Phi were involved in the hazing, 4 of which were already in police custody.

Eight others have been identified, while the remaining were still being investigated.

Gonzales added that there were no CCTV cameras around the area where the suspected hazing took place but the police found an entrance to the abandoned building which the members might have used to institute the initiation rites.
