The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) reported that the government has so far contributed PHP 85.6 million in aid to areas affected by the Mayon Volcano's ongoing unrest.
Based on the current bulletin, the relief includes distilled water, drums, family food packs, family and modular tents, hygiene kits, financial and fuel support, hog feed, rice, sleeping kits, and tarpaulins.
The instability caused by the volcano has already affected around 10,110 families, or 38,982 people living in 26 barangays in Bicol.
There are 5,336 households at 28 evacuation shelters, totaling 18,733 people, with family and friends assisting 402 families or 1,409 people.
The NDRRMC also stated that 143 Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) and Office of Civil Defense equipment were sent to convey "humanitarian cargoes" to Albay.
Meanwhile, the AFP and the Bureau of Fire Protection have 41 search, rescue, and recovery (SRR) teams on standby.
These SRR teams are supported by 148 mobility assets, which are divided into 17 for air, 103 for land, and 28 for watercraft.
