The Women's Gilas Pilipinas achieved their first victory in Division A of the Women's FIBA Cup stage since 2015.

Engaged in a nail-biting showdown against Chinese Taipei, the Women's Philippine team emerged with an emotional win, prevailing with a score of 92-81 after a highly competitive match in their third game of the tournament.

Guided by the hot scoring of their new guard, Vanessa De Jesus, who poured in 25 points, and the dominant double-double performance of their seasoned big woman, Jack Animam, who contributed 16 points and an impressive 15 rebounds, the women's team secured the victory.

Afril Bernardino also showcased her solid scoring, tallying 18 points and 10 rebounds. Janine Fontejos (9 points) and Ella Fajardo (11 points) displayed their skills as well, ensuring they were not left behind in the scoring column.
