Omar Oraby made a significant contribution, raining down three-pointers that helped seal Egypt's score advantage by the end of the first half.
The Pharaohs built a large lead over the Philippine team as they showcased their three-point shooting prowess, led by Ehab Amin Saleh, who shot 4-of-8 from beyond the arc and finished with 20 points.
In an attempt to close the gap, the Filipinos mounted a second-half rally led by Justin Brownlee and Scottie Thompson, narrowing the score to 40-49 in the third period of the game.
However, Egypt remained steadfast in their efforts to deny Gilas a win, keeping their opponents at bay and preventing any chance of a comeback.
Brownlee led the charge for Gilas, scoring a team-high 18 points, the only player to reach double digits. Meanwhile, young talent Carl Tamayo finished as the second-leading scorer with 9 points.
Dwight Ramos, AJ Edu, and Scottie Thompson all added 6 points each in the game.

After wrapping up their Doha games, Gilas will fly back to the Philippines before heading to Taiwan to face Chinese Taipei in the final window of the 2025 FIBA Asia Cup qualifiers.
